What is ozone:

Ozone (O3) is a powerful disinfectant. This therapy was initially used to disinfect wounds, and has been around since the 1800s. In 1896 the genius, Nikola Tesla, patented the first O₃ generator in the US, later forming the “Tesla Ozone Company.”

Now a days it is used topically, internally (IVs), can be injected, and insufflated into areas of the body. In our office we use the ozone gas for ear insufflation (put into the ear canal) and injections (prolozone injections) only.

How It Works:

Medical grade oxygen (O2) is run through an ozone generator and given electrical charge that breaks the chemical bonds of the (O2) and reorganizes the oxygen molecules into groups of 3. So (O2) becomes (O3) or ozone, which is more reactive and has a positive charge.

Ozone has the ability to neutralize negatively charged foreign cells such as bacteria, yeast, viruses and parasites, effectively killing active infections.
