WHERE IS YOUR PAIN?

Doctors of Chiropractic (DC) care for patients of all ages, with a variety of health conditions. DCs do not prescribe medication, but instead use manual manipulations and therapies combined with nutrition to treat these conditions safely and naturally.

Chiropractic is most known for helping relieve back pain, neck pain and headaches, but DCs care for a wide range of injuries and disorders of the musculoskeletal system, involving the muscles, ligaments and joints. This includes chronic conditions such as arthritis as well as sports and auto injuries. Chiropractic care combines the best of physical therapy, homeopathy, and osteopathy to provide a holistic approach to healing.

The benefits of chiropractic care extend to general health issues as well, since proper joint movement and muscle tone affect optimum overall body function. DCs also counsel patients on diet, nutrition, exercise, posture, injury prevention, and occupational and lifestyle modifications.

The most common conditions we treat:

  • Bulged or Herniated Discs
  • Neck and Back Pain
  • Sciatica
  • Headaches / Migraines
  • Shoulder Stiffness and Pain
  • Numbness and Tingling in the extremities
  • Dizziness and Vertigo
  • Arthritis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Scoliosis
  • Whiplash and Impact Injuries
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Many patients consult a chiropractic doctor because they think they have a pinched nerve. Because of the way your spine is designed, abnormal spinal function caused from physical trauma, emotional tensions, or chemical toxins can affect the delicate tissues of the spinal cord and nerve roots. While commonly associated with the spine(specifically bulged discs), the pinched nerve is actually rare. Research suggests that only 10% to 15% of spine related problems are caused by direct pressure of disc/ bone on nerve tissue. If you do have a pinched nerve, you may experience radiating pain into the arm or leg,  numbness, burning, or a “pins and needles” feeling. More frequently, your body loses some of its natural pain blocking ability through injury, stiffness, postural/alignment problems. It is also very common to have pain as a result of muscle weakness or imbalance.
