PROLOZONE INJECTIONS

Homeopathic/Prolozone Injections

Prolozone is a homeopathic/oxygen injection technique developed and pioneered by Dr. Frank Shallenberger. These injections into the connective tissues and muscles around joints promote healing where other treatment methods have failed.

The injection is a combination of homeopathic anti-inflammatory remedies (such as Traumeel, Zeel, etc.) and ozone gas. The word “Prolozone” actually derives it’s meaning from the Latin word “proli” short for proliferation, and “ozone” which is a highly reactive form of oxygen (o3) with healing properties. Prolozone works by reducing inflammation and pain, directing nutrients to the damaged tissues, and promoting cellular repair and regeneration.

This therapy has been used to successfully treat many chronic conditions, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal pain in the neck, back, shoulder area, arms, legs and feet. The treatment is relatively painless, with patients reporting minimal discomfort other than some mild soreness for the following 24-48 hours.

The general treatment protocol is 3-4 injections given over a course of 3-6 weeks. Many patients notice improvement after the first injection, although in some cases it is necessary to do more injections to achieve the best results. There is no limit to the number of injections one can receive as there are no compounding adverse side-effects with each injection.
